Your sound stays on your Mac.

The Matrix Rain Omni for Mac app does not collect personal information, run advertising or analytics services, or require an account.

Audio response

Audio response starts only when you select a source, press Start, and grant any macOS permission required. Device audio uses Apple’s ScreenCaptureKit to receive approved system audio. Microphone uses the input selected by macOS after microphone permission.

Omni analyses sound live in memory to control animation. It does not record, save, upload, or transmit captured audio. Its device-audio implementation receives audio output only and does not consume or save captured screen images. The app does not use the camera.

Your selected input can keep listening while the main window is hidden, until you press Stop audio response or quit Omni. The menu-bar indicator shows when input is active.

Settings and exported files

Preferences and appearance settings are stored locally in the app’s sandbox. Settings codes are copied to or read from the clipboard when you choose the corresponding control. Images and silent videos are saved only to the location you select in the macOS save dialog. Exported visuals are generated by the renderer and do not contain captured sound or screen images.

Network services and third parties

The app’s renderer and assets are bundled locally. Omni does not send your settings, captured audio, or usage history to a developer service. Apple handles App Store transactions, macOS permissions, and any diagnostics you elect to share through Apple under Apple’s policies.

This support website

This static website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Its pages do not include advertising, analytics scripts, forms, remote fonts, or developer-set cookies. When you visit, Cloudflare processes network request information, such as your IP address and requested page, to deliver and protect the site. Cloudflare’s processing is described in its privacy policy. Website requests are separate from the app’s local audio analysis; captured sound is never sent to this site.

Support messages

If you email support, your email address and information you choose to include are used to respond and investigate your request. This information is not sold or used for advertising. You can request deletion of support correspondence by emailing the same address, subject to any legal retention obligations.

Control and contact

You can stop capture inside Omni or revoke permissions in System Settings → Privacy & Security. You control exported files and can delete them using Finder. Questions about this policy or support correspondence can be sent to samuel.towers@icloud.com.
